About HammackBacksHike

Fed official Hammack said policy is not restrictive, inflation is still too high, and action is needed. After August payrolls came in at 162K, CME futures lifted September hike odds from about 50% to 58.6%, and Citi pushed its first cut call from Oc 2026 to Jun 2027. On the other side, Allianz IM's Charlie Ripley notes Aug wage growth slowed to a yearly low of 3.09%, turning real wage growth negative, while Trump demands cuts. August CPI lands Sep 11 and the FOMC meets Sep 15 to 16.

Bitcoin’s $80K Battle Is Now a Macro Test Bitcoin’s next major move may have less to do with the chart and more to do with inflation. $BTC pushed above $81K earlier this week after Fed Governor Christopher Waller signaled support for keeping rates unchanged. But the August jobs report changed the setup quickly: U.S. employers added 162,000 jobs, far above expectations, while unemployment held at 4.1%. Bitcoin then slipped back below $80K. That reaction matters. The market is now pricing a significantly higher probability of a September Fed hike, with recent estimates around 58–60%. So $80K is no longer just a psychological level. It is becoming a macro battleground. If inflation comes in softer than expected, the market could quickly unwind some of those hawkish rate expectations. That would potentially support liquidity-sensitive assets such as $BTC, $ETH, $SOL and $BNB. But if CPI comes in hot, the opposite scenario becomes much more interesting. Higher-for-longer rates can strengthen the dollar, push Treasury yields higher and reduce appetite for risk assets. That would put additional pressure on $BTC and could spill into $XRP, $ADA, $SUI, $AVAX and $LINK. The timing is important. The U.S. August CPI report is scheduled for September 11, five days before the Fed’s September 15–16 meeting. My radar: $BTC — can it reclaim and hold $80K? $ETH — watching whether it follows Bitcoin or underperforms. $SOL — a key high-beta test if risk appetite returns. $BNB and $XRP — large caps worth watching for relative strength. $SUI, $APT, $AVAX and $NEAR — higher-beta names that could react strongly to liquidity changes. $AAVE, $UNI, $CRV and $PENDLE — DeFi could reveal whether traders are willing to take broader risk. $TAO, $RENDER and $FET — another liquidity-sensitive group to monitor. The important point is this: Bitcoin does not need a bullish CPI to rally. It needs CPI to be less hawkish than the market currently fears. That is the real setup heading into September 11. #HammackBacksHike #BTCGoldRatioHigh #OKXOutcomeLeagueFOMC

Cleveland Fed President Beth Hammack leaning toward tighter policy caught my attention because the market has spent so much time debating when rates might come down. A Fed official still seeing a case for higher rates is a reminder that the inflation fight may not be completely finished. Personally, I think the important part isn’t whether one policymaker wants a hike. It’s whether more Fed officials start moving in the same direction. If inflation stays sticky while the labor market remains relatively resilient, the argument for keeping policy tight becomes harder for markets to ignore. That’s why I’m watching Treasury yields and rate expectations closely. Markets can price in easier policy very quickly, but those expectations can reverse just as fast when the data or the Fed’s tone changes. #HammackBacksHike $BTC

The Fed just got a stronger case for a hike. August payrolls came in at 162K, far above expectations, while unemployment held at 4.1%. The September hike odds jumped back toward 60%. But the story isn't over. Wage growth is cooling, and next week's CPI could still change everything before the Sep. 15–16 FOMC. **If CPI comes hot, does $BTC face another selloff? #HammackBacksHike #BTCGoldRatioHigh #OKXOutcomeLeagueFOMC

The nonfarm payroll night market really leaves no room to survive, it just flips the table! August nonfarm payrolls exploded by 162,000, nearly three times the expectation. The probability of a 25 basis point rate hike in September on CME surged directly to about 58%. Citibank is even more aggressive, pushing the first rate cut expectation to mid-2027. This is not cooling down; it's practically freezing#BTCGoldCorr+0.50 #HammackBacksHike #OKXOutcomeLeagueFOMC

Hamak spoke out, saying monetary policy is not restrictive, inflation is still too high, and tightening needs to continue. The 162,000 nonfarm payrolls directly pushed the rate hike probability to 58.6%, and Citibank delayed its first rate cut expectation from October 2026 to June 2027. Goldman Sachs also adjusted its expectations simultaneously, believing the possibility of a rate hike #OKXOutcomeLeagueFOMC #HammackBacksHike from possible to reality

🚨 The Fed may be running out of excuses. One Fed official is now openly arguing that rates need to go higher because current policy still isn’t doing enough to bring inflation down. Then nonfarm payrolls came in at 162K, and suddenly the odds of a September hike jumped to 58.6%. In other words, the market may already be doing the Fed’s job for it. But here’s where it gets interesting… #DailyOrbit

Federal Reserve officials loudly call for "rate hikes now"! Trump threatens to cut trade if rates aren't cut, market caught in a squeeze Hello everyone, I'm Ergou, biting and killing giant whale institutions. Just now, Federal Reserve official Harnack released the strongest hawkish statement of the year: "Current monetary policy is not restrictive, inflation is still too high, now is the time to take action." She also revealed that manufacturers in Ohio bluntly said #HammackBacksHike #BTCGold

I'm doing my usual Saturday live stream at 9 am (ET). I'll be talking about whether the Fed will hike on Sep. 16. We got strong payrolls yesterday, but the labor market just isn't strong. Labor participation for men is down and has plateaued for women...
