Slowing growth with cooling inflation is the kind of macro backdrop that should favour risk assets. The 1.5% GDP print and a negative monthly PCE reading both point toward an earlier cut window, yet crypto is selling off today. That gap between macro signal and price action is worth sitting with. The AMZN bounce off a guidance miss is more telling: institutional money bought the print, not the headline. When equities absorb bad news well and crypto still drags, it usually means positioning is crowded near the top of the range, not that the underlying thesis has changed.
