Bitcoin Is Recovering. Altcoins Are Not Confirming Yet. $BTC is holding above $80K, but the real signal I am watching is what happens to the rest of the market. Bitcoin recently reached $82,164 before pulling back, while the broader crypto market also cooled. The move came after dovish Fed commentary briefly weakened the dollar and pushed risk assets higher. But this is where the market gets interesting. A Bitcoin recovery does not automatically mean an altcoin expansion. Recent ETF flows show that institutional demand is becoming more diversified, but the flow picture is still uneven. Bitcoin attracted capital while some recent sessions showed outflows from $ETH, $SOL and $XRP products. That divergence is my main radar. If $BTC consolidates while $ETH starts outperforming, followed by $SOL, $XRP and $BNB, I would read that as genuine market breadth. If Bitcoin continues attracting the majority of attention while altcoins struggle, then the recovery remains narrow. The next layer matters even more. I am watching $SUI, $APT, $AVAX, $NEAR and $SEI for signs that traders are willing to move further down the risk curve. In DeFi, $AAVE, $UNI, $CRV and $PENDLE can tell us whether capital is returning to on-chain yield rather than simply chasing price. For infrastructure and RWA, $LINK and $ONDO remain important. $ARB and $OP are on my radar for Layer 2 liquidity, while $TAO, $RENDER and $FET could become relevant if AI-related crypto exposure starts attracting fresh capital. The bigger thesis is simple: Bitcoin can lead the recovery, but altcoin breadth has to confirm it before I call this a broad risk-on phase. There is another reason to stay selective. Global investors are still moving heavily into money-market funds as geopolitical tensions, oil prices and higher yields keep risk management at the forefront.
