The macro backdrop is hostile until the data and bond market tell us otherwise. But the strongest signal will be the combination of Treasury yields, the dollar, and BTC's daily structure—not a single CPI headline or a temporary liquidation wick.
I would treat October 15's PPI, retail sales and jobless claims as the next test, then use Warsh's remarks to assess whether the Fed is leaning toward an October hike or preserving the option to wait until December. No need to front-run that decision.
