The strongest part of this $BTC move isn't the $63.5K → $80K price action. It's what didn't happen underneath it. Bitcoin climbed while leverage remained relatively controlled and spot ETF demand continued absorbing supply. That's a much healthier setup than a rally fueled entirely by traders piling into leveraged longs. Now comes the real test. Can spot demand keep absorbing sellers around $80K? If yes, BTC could eventually turn this resistance into support and build the foundation for another leg higher. If ETF inflows weaken and $80K continues rejecting price, consolidation shouldn't be surprising. I'm watching the money behind the move, not just the candle. Spot demand builds the trend. Leverage only amplifies it.

BTC THIS RALLY WAS BUILT DIFFERENTLY Bitcoin's move from around $63.5K to $80K wasn't simply a leverage driven pump. The more interesting part was happening underneath the price. US spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted roughly $2.8B during the recovery, providing a steady source of spot demand while futures positioning remained comparatively controlled. That distinction matters. A rally powered mainly by excessive leverage can look impressive on the chart, but it can also unravel quickly when liquidations begin. Spot demand is different. When real capital continues absorbing supply, the market has a stronger foundation because price isn't relying entirely on traders borrowing money to chase momentum. That's why I'm paying more attention to ETF flows than the size of the latest green candle. The next question is straightforward: Can that demand continue above $80K? Bitcoin is now facing a much more important test. If buyers can absorb the supply around $80K and establish support above it, the market could begin looking toward higher resistance levels. But if ETF inflows slow significantly while sellers continue defending $80K, BTC may need another consolidation phase before attempting another breakout. For me, the key lesson from this rally is simple: Spot creates the foundation. Leverage creates acceleration. And the healthiest moves usually don't need excessive leverage to survive. So I'm not interested in chasing every green candle. I'm watching whether real demand continues to absorb sellers and whether Bitcoin can turn $80K from resistance into support. If that happens, the next expansion could be much more convincing.
