Analysis suggests that data shows large holders bought during the downturn and continued to increase holdings as prices rebounded. However, holder group turnover and transfers between addresses can also push up realized market value, so the increase in realized market value should not be seen as equivalent to new capital inflows. If BTC continues to fall below around $77,000, new whales will be at a loss again, increasing the likelihood of selling during rebounds.
