Bitcoin Is Getting the Institutional Bid. Ethereum Has to Prove It Can Keep Up. The most interesting signal in crypto right now is not Bitcoin breaking above $80K. It is the gap between where institutional money is flowing and where the rest of the market is trying to follow. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs pulled in about $731M on September 3, their strongest single-day inflow since January. They followed that with another $175M on September 4. That tells me one thing: Institutional demand for $BTC is still very real. But $ETH is telling a more complicated story. Ethereum ETFs attracted about $141M on September 3, then only $26.5M on September 4. The demand is still positive, but the flow is clearly less aggressive than Bitcoin's. And this is where the market gets interesting. If $BTC continues absorbing institutional liquidity while $ETH struggles to maintain momentum, the traditional “Bitcoin leads, then capital rotates into altcoins” sequence could take longer to develop. My radar is watching $ETH against $BTC first. If Ethereum starts outperforming while Bitcoin consolidates, that would change the structure. Then I would watch $SOL, $XRP and $BNB for confirmation. The broader altcoin market also needs to prove that recent strength is more than short-term positioning. $SUI, $APT, $AVAX and $ADA are names I would watch for breadth. In DeFi, $AAVE, $UNI, $CRV and $PENDLE can tell us whether capital is moving back into productive on-chain activity. For infrastructure and RWA, $LINK and $ONDO remain important signals. The macro backdrop is still a problem. Bitcoin recently pushed above $82K before retreating as stronger U.S. jobs data revived concerns about rates staying higher for longer. The next major catalyst is the September 11 CPI report. So I am not reading this as a clean altseason setup yet. I am reading it as a capital-allocation test. $BTC has the institutional bid. Now $ETH has to prove that liquidity can spread beyond Bitcoin. #HammackBacksHike #BTCGoldRatioHigh #OKXOutcomeLeagueFOMC
