About TrumpOverseasStablecoins

The Trump administration is reportedly considering a plan to promote US dollar stablecoins overseas through public-private partnerships, potentially involving Treasury, State and the DFC. Partners, markets and timing remain undecided. The Fed is also seeking input on GENIUS Act rules as bank stablecoins enter payment settlement. Tether held ~$114.96B in US Treasuries as of end-June, highlighting how wider stablecoin use could expand access to dollars and demand for short-term US debt.

#StablecoinRulesAdvance Stablecoins are starting to look less like crypto products and more like financial infrastructure 👀 The Fed is seeking input on reserve, capital, custody and risk rules, while SoFi is already settling Mastercard transactions with SoFiUSD. What caught my attention is the scale: its card processing could exceed $25B annualized. The next stablecoin race may not be about trading volume. It may be about who becomes the invisible dollar rail behind everyday payments.

Stablecoins are becoming one of the most important parts of crypto infrastructure. $USDT and $USDC aren't just trading pairs anymore. As stablecoin adoption expands globally, liquidity can move faster across exchanges and networks. Do you think stablecoins will become the main bridge between traditional finance and crypto? #USStablecoinsGoGlobal #USDT #USDC #BTCPullbackAltRotation #USIranRiskPremium #CostcoQ4EarningsWatch

The policy conversation is moving past whether stablecoins matter and toward how they integrate with bank-grade controls. Fed input on reserves, capital, risk management and custody, alongside SoFi's card-settlement plans, points to payments infrastructure as the real test. If execution holds, dollar demand may gain a new distribution rail. #StablecoinRulesAdvance

Trump administration is considering public-private partnerships to push dollar-backed stablecoins overseas, according to Bloomberg. The goal is to strengthen the dollar's global dominance and drive more demand for US Treasuries. But here's a thought... Trump's family-backed World Liberty Financial $WLFI already has its own stablecoin, $USD1. What if USD1 becomes part of Trump's global stablecoin strategy?

Stablecoins may be becoming part of a much bigger dollar story. Bloomberg reports that the Trump administration is considering initiatives to encourage the use of dollar-backed stablecoins overseas. If pursued, this would put stablecoins directly into the conversation around global payments, dollars and Treasury demand. For now, it's a reported proposal not a finalized policy. #Stablecoins #USDT #USDC #Crypto #TrumpOverseasStablecoins

JUST IN: 🇺🇸 Federal Reserve proposes new rules for banks issuing payment stablecoins under the GENIUS Act.
Coin Bureau

🇺🇸BREAKING: The Fed has proposed its GENIUS Act rules, requiring stablecoins it oversees to be fully backed by Treasury bills and other high-quality assets. Proposal one: - Stablecoins must be fully backed by permissible reserves, such as short-term Treasury bills and other high-quality, liquid assets. - Issuers face standardized capital requirements covering credit and operational risks, plus risk management standards. - New rules cover firms that safekeep stablecoin reserves, and clarify which stablecoin activities Fed-supervised banks can carry out. Proposal two: - Fed-supervised banks applying to issue stablecoins must submit a business plan and financial information. - The proposal also sets a process for appeals, hearings and final decisions on applications. "Stablecoins will only be stable if they can be reliably and promptly redeemed at par in a range of conditions," says Fed Governor Michael Barr. The comment period closes 60 days after publication in the Federal Register.
