Ethereum devs propose to allow users to pay gas fees without having to hold ETH from 2027. This may sound bearish at first, but it isn't. Under the proposal, a payments app, for example, could cover the fee itself or take stablecoins from the user and settle the $ETH bill on their behalf. Ethereum still gets paid in ETH, so there's no demand destruction, and it'll also remove a major barrier of holding the network token for any transaction.
