Bitcoin Is Entering the Most Important Week of September Bitcoin is back near $80K, but the next move may have less to do with crypto and more to do with the Federal Reserve. The August jobs report changed the setup. U.S. employers added 162,000 jobs, far above expectations, while unemployment held at 4.1%. Markets responded by increasing the probability of a September Fed rate hike to roughly 59%. Treasury yields moved higher and $BTC slipped below $80K. That makes this week extremely important. The next major test is U.S. inflation. CPI arrives on September 11, followed by the FOMC meeting on September 15–16. The market is now trying to answer one question: Will inflation give the Fed enough reason to tighten, or will softer price pressure allow policymakers to stay on hold? My radar: $BTC — Can it reclaim $80K and eventually challenge the recent $82K area? $ETH — Does Ethereum outperform if rate expectations ease? $SOL — Still one of the higher-beta majors if liquidity conditions improve. $XRP — Institutional demand remains important, but macro liquidity still matters. $BNB $SUI $APT $AVAX — Watch whether higher-beta L1s continue attracting capital. $LINK $ONDO — Infrastructure and RWA narratives could benefit if institutional liquidity expands. $AAVE $UNI $PENDLE $CRV — DeFi remains highly sensitive to changes in liquidity and risk appetite. $TAO $RENDER $FET — Higher-beta sectors will likely react strongly to any macro shift. $ARB $OP — L2s need broader risk appetite to regain momentum. The interesting part is that institutional demand has not disappeared. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted roughly $731M on September 3, their strongest single-day inflow since January. So the market is facing a conflict: Strong ETF demand on one side. Tighter rate expectations on the other. That is why I am watching macro before chasing individual altcoins. If CPI comes in softer than expected, the current rate narrative could reverse quickly. #BTCGoldCorr+0.50 #HammackBacksHike #ZECRanks10thByMarketCap

The Fed just got a stronger case for a hike. August payrolls came in at 162K, far above expectations, while unemployment held at 4.1%. The September hike odds jumped back toward 60%. But the story isn't over. Wage growth is cooling, and next week's CPI could still change everything before the Sep. 15–16 FOMC.#BTCGoldCorr+0.50 #HammackBacksHike #ZECRanks10thByMarketCap

WILL SEPTEMBER BRING A RATE HIKE? $BTC STILL HAS A HURDLE TO CLEAR Waller has laid out his view pretty clearly this time: 🔹 If inflation continues to cool, he would lean toward keeping interest rates unchanged. 🔹 If August inflation accelerates again, he would be open to supporting a rate hike. But there’s an important distinction: this is Waller’s personal assessment, not a commitment from the Fed to cut rates. #WallerEyesAugCPI #BTCGoldRatioHigh #OKXOutcomeLeagueFOMC

#OKXOutcomeLeagueFOMC The September FOMC decision is live in OKX Outcome League, and my current read is that a hold still looks slightly more likely than a 25bp hike 🏛️ The data aren’t giving the Fed a clean answer. Hiring has softened, but the labor market hasn’t collapsed. Inflation has cooled too, yet it remains above the 2% target. That combination gives policymakers a reason to stay cautious rather than move quickly in either direction. What could change my view? A strong payroll report, hotter inflation data or a clear shift in Fed language before September 17 📊 The interesting part is that this decision may come down to risk management rather than one headline number. Holding would preserve flexibility, while hiking would signal that inflation remains the dominant concern. That’s my reasoning for now—but with several major releases still ahead, I wouldn’t call this an easy pick.

US Aug nonfarm payrolls rose 162K, far above expectations of under 60K, with unemployment steady at 4.1%. Forecasts had ranged from a 25K drop to a 121K gain, so the print cleared the top of the range. Swaps now price a September Fed hike above 60%, versus roughly 50% on CME futures beforehand. CPI lands Sep 11 and the FOMC meets Sep 15 to 16. BofA calls payrolls the appetizer and CPI the main course and still expects a hike; Morgan Stanley sees a hold, with August core CPI at 0.23% MoM.#AugPayr

I'm doing my usual live stream tomorrow morning at 9 am (ET) on whether the Fed will hike on September 16. Neither inflation or the labor market call for a hike, but it's possible a hike will be needed - and happen - to anchor long-term Treasury yields...

Next FOMC Sept 15-16th. Odds of a raise hike at 53% after today.

#OKXOutcomeF1TI15Recap What a reminder that predictions need room for chaos. Norris lost the Dutch GP lead, then fought back to win. Verstappen was gone on Lap 1. TI15 delivered another thriller as Team Spirit edged Vision 3-2, giving Yatoro and Collapse a historic third Aegis. That's why I like Outcome League: getting the result right is great, but explaining the variables before the chaos begins is the real challenge. Ready for the next pick?

Zandvoort should reward a disciplined call more than a famous-name pick. With Kimi Antonelli, Lando Norris, Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen among the Yes/No options, my edge would come from weighing track variables before committing: qualifying position, execution under pressure and how changing conditions could alter race strategy. My measured lean is to favor the contender whose weekend looks most complete, rather than locking in a winner on reputation alone. The Aug 23 race leaves room to update that view as evidence develops. NFA. #OKXOutcomeLeagueDutchGP

OKX Outcome League S2 caught my attention because I like events where it’s not just about being active you actually have to think about what could happen next and put your market judgment to the test. For me, prediction style challenges are interesting because being right once can be luck, but staying consistent over multiple rounds is much harder. Markets can change quickly after one headline, economic release, or shift in sentiment, so I’m curious to see who can actually maintain a strong track record throughout S2. I also think events like this are a fun way to compare how differently everyone reads the same market. Two people can look at exactly the same information and still come to completely different conclusions. #OKXOutcomeLeagueS2 $BTC
